Introduction

Warm greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We at Mayuge Christian Education Center (MCEC) extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our
partners, donors, friends, and well-wishers. Your faithful support continues to fuel our
mission to serve the people of Uganda with dignity, love, and the Gospel of Christ.

Every board member, staff, and stakeholder at MCEC is working tirelessly to ensure all our
projects are running smoothly. With your continued support, we are witnessing real, lasting
transformation in the lives of individuals, families, and entire communities.

Ministry

In the second quarter of 2025, our ministry work remained strong and spirit-filled. We held
seven powerful outreach meetings every week at host homes, churches, and health
centers—reaching over 4,600 individuals with the message of hope, healing, and salvation.

At MCEC we managed to baptize over 50 souls, boldly declaring Jesus as Lord and Savior. We still look forward to see many more walking into the Kingdom of the Lord.

Education

Routine supervision of sponsored teachers at Baitambogwe and Mulingilire Primary Schools continued, resulting in improved pupil performance.

Adult literacy classes are ongoing, free of charge, with six consistent participants. Women are excited with the progress gained: they can read and write short words.

Computer lessons thrived—especially in May, with learners attending five days a week.

Women in the Tailoring Program (Class III) sat for their final tests, looking forward to see how they have learnt, as well as their working speed, perfection and creativity.  Ten out of 12 students passed well, with two a bit weak but with hope of doing better.

We launched a capital loan fund to support graduates of our motorcycle training program. Two young men met the criteria and received UGX 350,000 worth of tools each to begin their journey to self-sufficiency.

Hygiene and Health

WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) Program

MCEC drilled three boreholes for the community:

  • Faith of Victory Primary School
  • Nakasamba Community
  • Mukuta Community

MCEC has donated thousands of reusable sanitary pads to girls in various institutions and communities.  This has not only improved their hygiene and health, but also the dignity of the girl child  The lessons are settling deep in people’s ears and the perception of menstruation is changing slowly.

Our professional midwife, Carol, at Baitambogwe Health Center III continues to provide antenatal and postnatal care, leading to a significant rise in women accessing maternal health services.

Community Visits

With the help of volunteer pastors, we made numerous home visits—offering prayer, counseling, and support. These visits have built lasting trust between MCEC and the communities we serve.

Meetings

In the month of June, MCEC hosted two crucial meetings that greatly contributed to our ongoing growth and impact.

1. Evaluation Meeting

This meeting brought together key stakeholders including the head teachers of our two partner schools, members of the education committee from the sub-county, and other relevant participants. The purpose was to assess the progress of our education programs, discuss challenges, and identify areas for improvement. Valuable feedback was shared, and joint strategies were proposed to enhance learning outcomes in our supported schools.

2. Capacity Building Workshop for MCEC Staff

All MCEC staff and department representatives participated in this vital training. We were honored to have Aron serve as the facilitator. His sessions focused on strengthening teamwork, enhancing communication, and aligning departmental goals with the overall vision of MCEC. The workshop energized the team and equipped staff with practical tools for collaboration and effectiveness.

Challenges

  • High demand for clean water in more communities than we can currently support
  • Schools are requesting help with stoves, teachers, and scholastic materials
  • Bible study groups are growing faster than we can resource with volunteer pastors
  • Lack of an ultrasound machine is making maternal care risky at the health center
  • Limited scale of the farm operations affects revenue and sustainability

Conclusion

Despite challenges, this second quarter has been filled with victories. You—our generous donors—are the reason these stories are possible. Because of your compassion and sacrifice, lives are being transformed, one at a time.

Yours faithfully,

Godfrey Nkutu

Director Mayuge Christian Education Centre
