Greetings fellow partners!
This past year, 2025, has been an amazing work of God through your generous donations, a new partnership, and answered prayers. We give God thanks and praise for His abundant provision.
At the end of 2025, we ended our partnership with Mayuge Christian Education Centre after five wonderful years. Although our partnership yielded much fruit this past year (six wells, 5000 reusable pads, five Bible studies, eight assistant teachers, adult education classes, a midwife, a third tailoring class graduation, and the WASH program in five schools), we began to see a change in leadership that didn’t align with our vision or mission. We parted on good terms and wish them all the best in their continued efforts to affect change in Mayuge.
But where one partnership ended, another began! Lucy Auma is the president of Lifted Generation Ministry (LGM) in Gulu, Uganda. What began as a pilot program in January to start Bible studies in the Gulu area quickly became a catalyst for community-driven change. By the end of 2025, the people in the Gulu area had established five Bible studies to include the viewing of the Jesus Movie, six wells, WASH (WAter, Sanitation, and Hygiene) programs in five schools with murals, reusable pads sewn by the tailoring graduates of Mayuge, and the building of a school and latrine in the Agung community. Nearly all of the projects had support from the community either through performing the work themselves or feeding the professionals who completed the projects. They are currently in the process of building a health clinic for the Agung community.
Overall, your generosity amounted to over $170,000 dollars in donations. Of that, over $136,000 was given in grants and allocations to Mayuge and Gulu. GMP’s expenses totaled just 4% of the donations at $5,100 and we currently have $28,000 in reserve for the year’s operational budget for GMP and LGM.
Now, we begin 2026 with a new board member: Kathleen Bowe. She and her family have supported GMP over the last couple of years through donations of money and LOTS of time! Kathleen is our social media manager and has done a fantastic job telling the stories of the people in Mayuge and Gulu.
As always, there is so much more to tell than space allows. Please browse our website to read about this past year’s accomplishments. And if you’re on social media, please follow our Facebook and Instagram accounts to watch videos of the well drilling, school construction, and more.
It is an honor to serve alongside you to see God move in mighty ways for the people of Uganda. We are excited to see what He will do in this coming year.
Yours,
Peg Wood
